What a terrific Tuesday!

Our day began with assembly where the students sang O'Canada followed by attendance, calendar and how are you feeling.

We then wrote in our journals and talked about our long weekend! So many of us are starting to write SO much about our weekend! We have gotten down to 10 seconds as a class to state what the 5 W's are when writing! At the beginning of the semester we were having troubles remembering what to include! Well done SK.

After snack and recess we had phonics and time to practise our spelling while some students worked with Ms Giles on reading, writing, etc.

After lunch and recess, we went to the book fair and wrote down all of the books we wish for on our wish list! We then had gym with Miss Cranfield!

Our day ended with some math and addition! We will be moving onto subtraction very soon!

Have a wonderful evening and see you all tomorrow!

Key information:
- There will be NO spelling quiz this week as the words they will be practising in class will be the ones for the in-class spelling be next week! Please continue to practise those at home as well!
- If you have any books laying around at home please bring them into the class as some are missing!
On June 7th students from K – 6 will be taking a trip to the Orangeville Galaxy Theatre to watch the Secret Life of Pets 2 from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Please return your form to classroom teachers by Friday May 31th. All money and permission forms are due early to ensure orders can be placed promptly at concessions. You can pay with cash, cheque or email money transfer to the Maples PTA. Unfortunately, no orders can be placed at the time of the show, so it’s important to get your pre-orders in. Please remember that the bus will only be taking the student to the theatre and not returning to school. This is a family event and parents, grandparents and guardians are welcome to attend.
